Ice White install new Induction Loop System to improve sound quality for clients.

Audio-frequency induction loop systems (AFILS) allow hearing impaired people to hear more clearly.

Most hearing aids have a ‘T’ switch which allows them to pick up the electromagnetic field generated by an induction loop system. The hearing aid converts this signal into a sound suited to its user’s specific hearing requirements. Any person with a hearing aid positioned within or near the loop can hear the loop signal by switching their hearing aid to the correct position, allowing them to participate more effectively in general conversation, ordering goods or services etc.

Ice White are very keen to improve conditions in the surgery environment and this kit is portable and so can be used in the surgery as well. We display the loop system stickers and it is permanently in place in the reception. should you wish us to use it in the surgery as well , no problem – satisfaction guaranteed!

Digital or analogue?

This is a question that is often asked, however it is a little bit of a red herring. Being digital or analogue has no relevance at all – the critical element is “Does the hearing aid have a T position”.

Induction loops only come in one format – If a hearing aid has a working T position then it will be able to receive a signal from an induction loop system complying with the current standards.
